"I wouldn't swap Tom for the world," says Malcolm. "We are so grateful to PDSA for providing his life-saving insulin injections. With these and our love he manages to live a very happy life."
Seven-year-old Tom was diagnosed with diabetes two years ago. But, more heartache was to come for his owners, Malcolm and Shirley. Twelve months after his diagnosis he also started having problems with his sight.

Sadly, Tom's sight is very poor. His caring owners have made changes in their home to make his life easier. They never move furniture around, or leave cupboard doors open and they show him where his toys are so he can play.

As well as being extra-attentive, Malcolm and Shirley need to give Tom daily injections for his diabetes and take him for regular blood tests. Although they depend on PDSA for his veterinary treatment, there is no limit to the amount of love they have for their adorable dog.
