Nine-year-old Reg has been in the wars. Five years ago he was diagnosed with 'dry eye'. The natural act of blinking scrapes the surface of his eyes. This means Reg regularly suffers from eye infections. Sadly he has also lost some of his vision.
Reg is such a wonderful dog: he loves to play hide and seek and has many adorable qualities, including sleeping on his back and snoring loudly!
This makes it all the more heartbreaking that, a year after being diagnosed with 'dry eye', his owner, Alison, was told that Reg also has "one of the loudest heart murmurs a dog can have." Medication will relieve the 'dry eye' and the strain on Reg's heart, but he'll need it for the rest of his life.
