Kim and Millie have been together for 11 years, 'Without PDSA's help Millie would not be alive,' she says 'It is entirely due to their care and dedication that my beloved Millie is still with me today.'
Millie is a cat with double trouble! When she began to eat and drink much more than usual and lose a lot of weight, she was diagnosed with both diabetes and a rare disorder called pancreatic insufficiency.

If left untreated, she would continue to lose weight, suffer from constant diarrhoea and always feel hungry no matter how much she eats. Without medication, either of her conditions could prove fatal.

Twice a day Millie has insulin injections and has special enzymes mixed into her food. Not that she seems to mind too much. 'All I have to do is tap the top of the table and Millie immediately jumps up, lies down and accepts her injection,' says Millie's owner, Kim.
