Norma took Marley to Edinburgh PDSA PetAid hospital after she noticed he was slowing down and occasionally limping.
The PDSA vet who examined Marley diagnosed arthritis and prescribed daily painkillers and anti-inflammatory medication.
So Marley is now a regular visitor to PDSA, where the vet is delighted with his progress.
PDSA explained to Norma that he will need medication every day for the rest of his life. This controls the pain and inflammation caused by the arthritis. Norma will also need to monitor his activity levels and his weight to prevent aggravating his condition.
